Cal ‘Pacino’ Eleanor (4-0-0) is expecting a ‘dangerous’ fight against Arann Maguire (1-1-0) as Made4TheCage returns with it’s 24th show Throwdown this Saturday.
This will be both fighters first time on a Made4TheCage card and ‘Pacino’ exclusively told Made4TheCage.Co.Uk how much he is looking forward to fighting in front of a packed crowd at Rainton Meadows Arena. He said: “I haven’t fought locally in over a year so I saw this as a huge opportunity to get some interest on the local scene and show people that the North East really has some top class fighters coming through the ranks.”
Both men are solid on the ground and the 25-year-old, who fights out of Team Fish Tank, believes his opponent will look to take him down early: “I predict we are going to come out and I think Arran will try and stand with me for a little while and then eventually try and initiate the takedown as I believe that’s his main objective in this fight with him primarily being a grappler.
“That doesn’t mean that will be the case of course, I know he’s tough and he’s game so I would like to see how it plays out once we start to trade shots.” Although Maguire only has two professional bouts under his belt, Eleanor knows it would be costly to judge him on that.
Talking about ‘Pacino’ said: “Arran is a good grappler and to go in there thinking, because he has had less experience, he isn’t going to be as dangerous as he is would be a mistake because I know he’s tricky and he’s a purple belt so he’s definitely not new to the game.”
The fight will no doubt be one of the fights of the night with both men looking to gain new fans and put on a strong performance.
Other huge fights on the stacked card include, Colin “Freakshow” Fletcher vs Jordan Miller, Adam Proctor vs Sam Bould and Luke Ord vs Calum Murrie.
