The 4-0 standout cannot wait to step back inside the cage to feel the buzz that can only be experienced through MMA combat and take another step closer to the M4TC gold.
Speaking about the fight beforehand, he said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back in there and the adrenaline rush and buzz that you get from it all makes it worthwhile.
“There is a bit more pressure [with it being a title eliminator] but being given the chance to fight for a title just gives me a reason to train harder and put that extra effort in.”
His training for the bout has gone very well but he will be coming up against a more than game Elliott who has just one defeat in his career to date and Lister is wary of the threat that he will pose while is also garnering confidence from the fact that he boasts an unblemished record.
“From what I know of him, he is a good all round fighter with an impressive record but I always expect a tough fight every time I get in there and anything else is a bonus,” he continued. “My unbeaten run gives me confidence but anything can happen in MMA so you just get in there and try to do the best you can.”
When it comes to how he wants to win it then? “A submission victory would be nice but anything can happen.”
Kieran thanked all of his training and sparring partners who have helped him prepare for this bout as well as Dale and Steven for organising the show and trainers Sean Colfer, Aaron Naisbett and Mick Sudron.
