Made4TheCage are proud to announce that North-East legend Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher (14-8-0) will challenge Scotland’s Chris ‘The Bad Guy’ Bungard (10-3-0) for the vacant British Lightweight Championship at M4TC25: Legacy on September 2nd.
Fletcher is coming off the back of a hugely impressive submission win over crafty veteran Jordan Miller at M4TC24 last month and will be looking to follow it up with his first championship gold of 2017.
Bungard will be making his debut on Made4TheCage but is very used to the big stage with fights at both BAMMA and ACB on his resume already. It’s no secret that Fletcher will be in front of a home crowd when the two fight in September but ‘The Bad Guy’ appears to be taking that in his stride.
Taking to social media Bungard commented: “Looks like me and the clown of MMA are throwing down on September 2nd for the made for the cage Lightweight British title.
“I ain’t [messing] about now when I take on former UFC fighter Colin Fletcher in his home town.”
Bungard’s grappling will be a tough-test for Fletcher who has 10 Submission wins under his belt himself and who’s D’arce Choke is becoming legendary having finished Vincent Del Guerra with the hold at M4TC19, capturing the promotion’s Welterweight Title in the process.
A victory over Bungard would make Fletcher the second ever two-weight M4TC champion, with Shaj ‘Superman’ Haque remaining the only one to do it to date when he captured both the Featherweight and Bantamweight straps in 2016.
The fight joins a stacked card with Tony Mustard facing Dave Wilson for the British Heavyweight title and top ranked Welterweight Chris Thirkell returning to action as he takes on Denmark’s Thomas Jessing in an explosive clash!
Made4TheCage25: Legacy will take place at Rainton Meadows Arena on September 2nd. Tickets for the event can be found through the fighters themselves or through Co-Promoters Dale Percival, who is available on 07972612384.
