He won the gold last time out at Made4TheCage 9: Night of Champions with a hard-fought win over Paul Taylor and now sees himself being crowned as the unquestionable M4TC number one.
“Of course I see myself winning this fight, I always do,” said the unbeaten prospect. “Every fighter has got to picture themselves winning the fight but Darren is a tough fighter and I know that this is going to be a tough test for me.”
James says that he has enjoyed a great camp for this clash with ‘Powerhouse’ which takes place at the top of a stacked card at the Rainton Meadows Arena on May 25th but he insists there is no extra pressure on his shoulders as a result of this.
He took time out from training to tell me: “It feels really good to be headlining this card and I am excited about it but I feel like the pressure is on me in every fight and I do not think that this one will be any different.”
Admittedly, Towler (9-6) does have the edge over Mulheron when it comes to experience but this is not something that is worrying the NEVT and 6th Sense MMA man who is eyeing this contest as a good fight that will help propel him further up the rankings.
“The fact that he has more experience is not something that bothers me at all if I am honest,” he continued. “In fact I think that winning this fight and the undisputed title would be a great stepping stone for me.”
James would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at his fight teams as well as his sponsors MEM HVAC Specialists, Richmond Taxis, The Rooftop Bar, Jy Nutrition, Be Supreme, Toxic Fightwear, Combat Soap, Trojan Sports Wear and Momotaj.
