Made4thecage can officially announce a huge heavyweight contest as Tony ‘Oosh’ Mustard returns to Made4TheCage to face David ‘Loctite’ Wilson at Made4TheCage25: Legacy.
The bout will be for the vacant British Heavyweight Title, the title that was vacated by new UFC prospect James Mulheron.
Both men are experienced local fighters and will no doubt show why North East MMA is on the rise and that as a region, we have some of the best fighters in the country.
Mustard, who fights out of Team Fishtank, will be featuring on a North East card for the first time since Made4thecage 20: ‘Meltdown’, back in March 2016. See that fight below:
He fights on a Clash of the Titans card June 24th and will be looking to get back to winning ways after his defeat to Anatoli ‘Tolea’ Ciumac in April.
South Shields’ Wilson will be coming into the bout on a career-best 8 fight win streak and will be hoping this continues as he makes his first appearance on a Made4TheCage card.
Wilson has a professional career spanning over a decade and has fought notable names including former UFC heavyweight, Philip De Fries.
Made4thecage promoter and matchmaker Dale Percival thinks “It’s a great fight especially for NEMMA.
“We have Dave Wilson a veteran of UKMMA having been a pro since 2006 and currently on a 8 fight win streak.
“We then have Tony Mustard who won his first 6 fights and lost his last 3 fights abroad against international opponents and is looking to bounce back on his hometown show.
“Both guys will want that win and come September 2nd it makes for interesting viewing when they meet for the vacant British heavyweight title.”
Made4thecage25: Legacy is scheduled for September 2nd and will take place at Rainton Meadows Arena. Fights will be announced over the next few months for what will no doubt be a top card featuring the best MMA fighters from in and around the UK.
