Carl Fawcett (6-4-0) was part of yet another MMA war on Saturday night as he defeated the experienced UFC veteran Leigh Remedios (17-10-2) in a back and forth encounter.

Fawcett is happy with his performance but still believes there is room for improvement.

The bantamweight is never in a dull fight and this was no exception and with a boisterous home crowd behind him it made for a great atmosphere.

Fawcett said: “ I always like to be in exciting fights and my style makes for them and that is what the crowd wants to see.”

Remedios was victim to some nasty ground n pound, he took a lot of damage on the bottom which eventually sealed the win for Fawcett in the last seconds of the third round.

Fawcett added: “ I am always aggressive with my ground strikes this is something I have worked on just like I work on everything and I will be even better in my next fight.”

The crowd favourite impressed so much on his last outing that Made4TheCage matchmaker and owner Dale Percival have offered him a title fight at the promotion.

Fawcett said: “ Dale has offered me a title shot so just looking at some names right now but I have been offered some other things too.”

A big thanks was sent to Terry Fahey at the Fight Lodge, Alex Enlund at Sixth Sence MMA, all sparring and training partners, along with friends and family.
