North-East up-and-comer Cal Ellenor says he sees himself going all the way to the top of the sport after a fantastic 5-0 start to his professional career.
There was a lot of hype around Ellenor’s return to his home region on Made4TheCage 24: Throwdown recently and the TFT fighter showed just why, dominating his opponent before finishing with a first-round TKO via ground and pound. See the fight below:
When asked how far he sees himself going in the sport Ellenor replied: “I see myself at the top, I honestly do. It’s tough I know the featherweight division is talent stacked.
“The guys I train with are all tough guys above me and I perform with them week in week out and I can hold my own against all the top guys in the weights above so I think I can hold my own at this weight, you know what I mean?”
Ellenor is set to fight on ACB in the coming months and another win against a tough opponent will certainly turn the heads of the bigger shows around the world but Pacino spoke about how nice it was to be fighting on his home card again: “It’s nice, it’s a nice change you know? I get to go home tonight and see my baby, I’ve missed her all day and with being in fight camp I haven’t had much time to spend with her.”
Many are tipping the 145lb-er to go very far in the sport and not just because of his in-ring skills, his interview ability and out of the ring persona reeks of a Conor McGregor before him and there is definitely that kind of mystique about Ellenor.
He’s certainly one to watch for the future!
