“I have fought loads of times in amateur before but this is my first pro fight and I have been really looking forward to it,” he said beforehand.
“Now I get to use my elbows on the ground and things like that which will be good to unleash as a professional.”
The featherweight also has a fearsome reputation for ending fights quickly and is expecting more of the same when he steps in with Thompson (4-36).
“I like to end fights quickly and lots of fights I have been involved in have ended in the first 10 seconds and I expect the same this time around.
“This one should be the same, that is how I expect it to go and I am looking forward to stepping in there.”
Speaking to made4thecage just hours ahead of his big debut, there were no signs of nerves from him and he said he was feeling no extra pressure.
“I’m not feeling too much pressure no even if this is my professional debut because I have fought many times before so that’s nothing new to me.”
