BAMMA 12 takes place 9th March at the Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle and will open its show with possibly one of the most exciting fighters in the North East, ‘The Moroccan Sensation’ Anas Siraj Mounir.

Mounir who was undefeated as an amateur will be making his pro debut at BAMMA 12 against John Jackson in a pearl of a fight to kick off the card.

The debutant said: “Man it feels great! BAMMA is one of the biggest MMA shows in Europe and for me to be able to have my pro debut there is unbelievable which makes me all fired up and want to put on a good show!”

Mounir is managed by Made4TheCage fight management and trains out of the well-respected gym, The Dungeon BJJ and MMA Academy where he believes his success stems from.

He said: “The Dungeon, Checkmat, Sunderland and Made4TheCage we are all like a big family and I really have to represent them very well, It’s my responsibility.”

‘The Moroccan Sensation’ has been part of some amazing fights in the North East and has achieved so much in just a short space of time going (8-0-0) and now he has been put on one of the best MMA launch-pads in Europe.

He continued: “ I’m expecting the fight to be entertaining for the fans, it’s going be war! I’ve always had entertaining fights and I’m sure this one will be as well.”

Jackson will be a tough test for Mounir but it looks as if it will be a stand up battle, as both fighters prefer to stand.

‘The Sensations’ thoughts on Jackson were: “ I know Jackson has that knock out power and can knock anyone out with one punch. He is a very good boxer, he started boxing when I was just playing football in Casablanca’s streets.”

Having said this the adopted North East lad says he is ready for wherever the fight goes and he is training on every aspect of MMA to be ready for this fight.

A win at BAMMA will make people take notice and boost any fighter’s career tenfold.

The Dungeon fighter said: “A win at BAMMA will definitely boost my career and I’m hoping that will allow to have more fights on BAMMA.”
